Hurtle is a manufacturer of hand-made skateboards based out of Devon, UK. They place an emphasis on craftsmanship, attention to detail and elegant style. They’ve released a small batch of hand-made, Maple mini boards with only five in the collection.
About the One-Off Mini Boards
Each mini measures 22″ long x 6″ wide with a 22″ wheelbase. They’re constructed with 6 plys of Maple and one colored ply on the belly. They feature a single kick and concave to keep you planted.
Temper Boards is back with the 2016 Berserker. Named after the Viking warriors, the Berserker was built with freeride in mind and is fully prepared to tackle anything.
Construction features 9 plys of Baltic Birch and 4 plys of fiberglass. An additional 6 plys of carbon fiber wrap the symmetrical nose/tail for extra durability. For 2016, Temper changed from a stepped waist to a curve that provides a little more foot platform near the ends. It measures 43″ long by 10.3″ wide, 9.5″ at the waist. Tails on either end of the truck mounts make it a great option for dancing or busting out a trick. The W concave and slight rocker keep you locked in while new graphics round out the color-coordinated appeal.

The Remember Collective has a reputation for putting out well-priced, affordable longboarding accessories and parts at above-decent quality. From their Hoots series wheels to their downhill Savannah Slammas, their product line has always been focused on fun and utility rather than brand-boosting and profit.
New for 2016 from Remember Collective is the Hive 36. It’s 9.5 inches wide, 36 inches long, and has a variable wheelbase all the way from 23 inches to 27.25 inches. Designed by Nick Li, the Hive features a short-stance-friendly standing platform at 20″ between the flares. It’s awesome as a sensitive, snappy freerider board but also as a versatile technical downhill board.
It has subtle wheel flares for you to dig your feet into and a .75″ of rocker to keep those legs straight for standies. Mild W concave to support your arches, double wheel wells to prevent the bite. Flush mounts 1/8″ deep or just about 2-plys worth of the 8-ply Maple construction.

Landyachtz has for the longest time, been a great Canadian manufacturer of everything pragmatic and friendly. Especially of something like the Landyachtz Dinghy – a long running favorite of cruisers and commuters everywhere – or the Landyachtz ATV Series. Landyachtz is back at it again with the release of their limited edition Revival Series a line of small cruiser boards hand-crafted from some very special Canadian veneers.
The first is a beautiful Ruby Lake Fir wood. Logs harvested at the turn of the century were later forgotten and sank, remaining under the lake for over 100 years. Now, they’ve been raised from the bottom and revived for use as veneers in the Landyachtz Revival series. The second wood is a Pacific Yew, whose bark is used to make a cancer-fighting drug. The wood however, is leftover and discarded, so Landyachtz repurposed these as material for veneers as well.
Both varieties of wood come together to create a mini cruiser that can both be hung up on the wall or ridden as your favorite daily. Both options come in a limited run of 500 pieces, and they ship this week!
Update: Looks like Sanction snow has the Revival series up for sale!
These are limited edition longboards. Plenty of longboard companies use recycled material, and that is rad, but the Revival Series story is especially compelling.
The wood that is used to make the boards comes timber that has been at the bottom of Ruby Lake for decades. The trees were were initially cut and left in the lake to make room for a rail line. After the rail company failed, the trees were left in the lake.
Landyachtz decided to make that timber useful again, bring us their Revival Series. When you ride one of these and someone asks you about your board, you’ll have a dope story tell them.

Buddy Buddy Boards has always been a buddy to nature with new, innovative and environmentally friendly production methods that haven’t been seen anywhere else.
Their “Anchorcore” technology is unique in the union of the upper and lower fiber layers by anchor points through holes in the core. The anchors join the two layers, allowing both to play a role in supporting the weight of the rider, increasing torsional stiffness and vibration dampening.
New Board: The ST (SportTurismo) Deck
Their newest addition, the 2017 “ST” deck is no anomaly when it comes to this innovative construction. The new 36.5 inch by 9.5 inch deck features a mellow W-concave for comfort and grip, and a semi-cutout topmount shape for downhill ease. The core is made of Poplar and Ash with the stringers grown in one piece from tip to tail, and plies are laminated with Entropy resins to make a bond so tight, there is a 5 year warranty for delamination.
Pictured is the regular ST deck. The black bottom is the limited edition release, laminated with Basalt Rock fibers instead of fiberglass. Innovative, lighter, and 20% stiffer.

About Buddy Buddy
Their Anchorcore tech is sick. That we all know.
Their decks beyond the SportTurismo are just as sick. The Cruiser fits a casual, city-style ride that is fitting as the shortest longboard in their collection. Their GrandTurismo (GT) is versatile and often used for people creating their own e-board complete. Throw in a few other styles and you can see they have a ton of versatility in their current inventory.
Their snowboards are also sick, but we don’t want to get carried away…
