JEHU V2 - Jehunions - Loaded Boards

JEHU V2 – Loaded Boards

Loaded recently announced the second coming of their popular Jehu bearings, the JEHU V2, or the Jehunion.

The new bearings are a departure from their previous offering. They feature integrated spacers and speed rings. Now you can crank down your bearings without worry and you won’t have to keep track of any extra pieces. The bearings also sport a new rubberized steel shield in pink for maximum hotness and ease of maintenance. Available now from Loaded Boards for $23 at the link.

The feedback has been epic, these bearings are sick!

Randall Trucks - RIII

RIII – Randall Trucks

Randall Trucks announced over the weekend that they’d be releasing the completely redesigned RIII on April 1. That’s roughly two weeks from the time of this writing and since they’re already up on Randall’s website, it seems legit. Randall trucks have been around since the 1970s and have long been one of the standards. Most, if not all, longboarders have ridden or own an RII. The RIII marks an exciting redesign.

New Design Changes for Randall Trucks

The trucks feature a new baseplate with dual mounting holes on both ends for a little adjustment. They also lack the wings found on the RII baseplates, allowing the RIII to be drop-mounted on more boards. The hangers have been redesigned with stronger axles, machined bushing seats and pivot pins.

The bushing seat has also been redesigned and appears to be a lot tighter. The kingpin is now mounted nut side up. New bushings and pivot cups round out the RIII for what will surely be another killer offering from a legend in skate equipment. Grab a set at the link on release day, April 1st!

These are great trucks for downhill longboarding and engineered right here in the USA. Stay in touch for even more gear reviews.

Pantheon Longboards Embryo 2

Embryo – Pantheon Longboards

Pantheon’s Embryo is a slick combination of design and features. A really killer graphic lends to the idea that from the tree comes the deck. Flush mounts, variable wheelbase options and CNC’d wheel wells flush out the bottom. There’s a bit of wheel flare in the front that trails to the rear. Pantheon put their A-Cup concave up front, funnel concave in the rear and two domes in front and rear center.

8-plys of Maple shaped to 35” long, 9.8” to 9.3” wide front-to-rear with 4” of wheel-base flexibility beginning at 25”. Get it at their shop!

reaper side view

Reaper – Never Summer Industries

Never Summer Industries recently released a rich new downhill, top-mount deck. The Reaper is 37.5 inches long and 10 inches wide with an adjustable wheelbase and a 3/16 inch micro-drop. NSI has incorporated some of it’s best tech into this deck, making it a lightweight and stable powerhouse.

This deck has horizontal maple veneers combined with a vertically laminated core. The variation in materials allows more flexibility in shaping and contouring the board without compromising rigidity. The wheel wells are machined with a CNC and reinforced with fiberglass for precision and strength. “W” shaped concave, foot pockets, and flares keep you locked-in for the turns or the straights.

Finally, the deck has been outfit with “P-Tex” nose and tail protection to minimize damage inflicted from curbs and other obstacles. At 4.6lb, the Never Summer Reaper is an awesome deck. Check it out at the link!
